THE Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) in this month conducted its Quarterly Budget Review (QBR).

The exercise involved all divisions of the Bougainville Administration including the Parliamentary Services, Regional Commissioners Office and officers at the Districts.

The QBR process allows the ABG to:

• Monitor progress in implementing the annual Budget to assess what results are being achieved from program spending,
• Identify spending trends that may lead to under expenditure or over expenditure of budget allocations,
• Update ABG divisions, parliamentary services, commissioner offices and district administration staffing profiles and advise of the steps being taken to bring those profiles in line with what has been funded through the annual budget.

All ABG agencies participate by furnishing a complete expenditure and minimum priority activity (MPA) report to the Chairman of the Budget Review Committee.
